At DCRS we were all quiet shocked when we saw the unfair comparison on The Gadget Show a couple of weeks ago - why ?
- The Digital ICOM proved superior to the ANALOGUE Motorola. Why ? Because they arent even in the same operating range ... Icom's radio was utilising Digital technologies and Motorola's was Analogue technologies so they were not equivalant/compariable.
- The TLKR T7 Battery is NIMH and the F2029SDR a Lithium Ion Battery.
- These two radios are meant for two totally different markets.
We could rant on forever as to why these two products shouldn't have battled it out together in the Lake District.
If you were going to compare Motorola against Icom why not try two analogue radios like the Motorola XTNi446 v's Icom IC-F25SR or two non licensed digital radios Motorola DTR2450 v's Icom F2029SDR ?!
It may have been a fairer competition then.
